Two levies renew funding for students, staff and schools
Thank you, Bellevue voters
We are excited to share that the two levies on the February 8, 2022 ballot were approved for renewal by local voters. These levies bridge the gap between state funding for our district and the cost of tools, programs and facilities our 香港六合彩开奖网need to become creators of their future world. Thank you to our community for supporting these measures and helping us continue to provide an excellent education for our students.
Renew Education Programs and Operations Levy
Continues funding for critical day-to-day school operations to ensure EVERY student in our district has access to:
- High quality teaching and learning鈥痓y funding:
- Additional school staff
- 7th period classes and听tutorial听at middle schools and high schools
- World languages in middle school
- Supports to ensure the wellbeing of 香港六合彩开奖网by funding:
- Additional school nurses
- Counselors
- Student programs not fully funded by the state including:
- Special education
- STEM programs and AP classes
- Opportunities for 香港六合彩开奖网not funded by the state including:
- Orchestra, band, music, and art in elementary schools
- Athletics
- After school activities
Renew Technology and Capital Projects Levy
Maintains our investment in student technology and facilities, so every 香港六合彩开奖网 student has access to a safe and modern learning environment. Renewal of the Technology and Capital Projects Levy continues critical funding for:
- Exceptional education for all students听
- Access to new technologies and software that support student learning听
- Collaborative STEM learning听
- A computer or tablet for every student听
- Integrated digital curriculum听
- Software maintenance and updates听
- Classroom technology and training for teachers听
- Technology for teaching and learning in our classrooms听
- Professional development to ensure our educators have the technology training they need听
- Maintaining and updating our school buildings鈥听
- Large scale school improvements like the carpeting, roofing, and heating and cooling systems听
- Repairs and maintenance听to听our school buildings听
These levies are collected over four years and are not a new tax, but replace expiring 香港六合彩开奖网 District levies.
These local levies have been collected for the past 50+ years.听 Over the last 9 years, local school tax rates have declined by 20%.听 These levies will replace levies set to expire in December 2022.
